Auto supplier ABC names Campbell CEO | Plastics News

Toronto-based ABC Technologies Holdings Inc. appointed Terry Campbell as the company's new CEO and president after Tom Sheppelman agreed to step down from the role.

Campbell will also be appointed to the board of directors of ABC, an auto supplier with injection molding, blow molding and in-house tooling.

"On behalf of the board of directors, I want to thank [Sheppelman] for his leadership and unwavering commitment to our business and its customers," James Voss, chairman of the board of directors at ABC said an Aug 16 news release. "Todd's contributions to the company have been immense.

"[Sheppelman] has led the company since 2017 and, in the past two years, he successfully guided ABC through its initial public offering and the COVID-19 pandemic, and was instrumental in the company's recent acquisitions of dlhBOWLES Inc. and Karl Etzel GmbH," he said.

"The board of directors is extremely confident in [Campbell's] leadership. We look forward to continuing to work with him in his new role," Voss added.

ABC declined to comment further on the leadership change in response to inquiry by Plastics News.

ABC is a major plastics processor in North America. It was No. 17 in Plastics News' most recent ranking of injection molders in the region with $500 million in sales, No. 15 among blow molders with $396 million in sales and No. 78 for toolmakers with $6.5 million in sales.

It is among the 100 largest auto suppliers globally, according to PN sister paper Automotive News, ranking at No. 97 in the world and No. 64 in North America.

Campbell joined ABC in 2022 as chief operating officer. He previously served as COO of Woodbridge Group, a foam supplier to automotive and other industries, the release said.. He has held business unit and operational leadership roles at Johnson Controls Inc. and Magna International Inc., among other industrial and manufacturing businesses.

ABC Technologies supplies custom, technical plastics and light weighting technology for the global automotive industry.
